one fine day in SG

it's a bright sunny day, you're feeling good and everything's going well. even when you walk past that old tree full of pigeons, none of their crap fell on you.

JUST THEN, when the sun's shining and crap misses you.. something caught your eye and you go,

UGH. what the hell?

yes, fashion disasters here on our streets. it doesn't matter who started them, we just want it to end here and now.

my top five countdown please?

5. Couple Tees

honestly, i was a sucker for these in the past. but now i know how horrendous they actually are. sweetie lovey dovey honey sugarcoated cream with cherry WHATEVER. couple tees are so commercialized.

you're wearing the same shirt, same colour, same design... screaming to whoever that's near you,

"WE ARE HAPPILY IN LOVE!
YOU CAN GO SUCK YOUR THUMB IF YOU'RE SINGLE!"

so much trouble when you're already locking fingers and "sneaking" kisses in front of everyone. like hey, those two are holding hands and kissing, i wonder if they're an item. hmm...

why not try similar colours of different shades in your own style? instead of couple tee and jeans, couple tee and skirt O.O

(male: i don't eat, i wash bowls only. female: i don't wash bowls, eat only.)

ugh, just get them away from me.

4. FBTs

guys adore these. they're short and you can almost see through them! what's not to like?

for sports, go ahead. what else can you wear?

you can say they provide minimal restriction for body movement and are super comfy. cool, why not wear them for sex? perfect! *smiles*

not that i'm against FBTs, i do wear them. i just don't head to town in them. they're sloppy. looks worse with some random t-shirt. even worse when coloured.

3. Colourful Skinnies

girls want long and slender legs, that i agree. but, GUYS!?! don't you all have some self-respect? your legs are naturally chunkier because of the muscles. wearing something so tight induces discomfort especially to you-know-where.

OH!! i absolutely don't want to see skinny guys wearing them. it's disgusting to see a guy's legs as thin or thinner than a girl's. gross!

plus the colours? i think black, white and denim colours are alright. the rest? BURN.

who the hell called this fashion?

HUH? tell me who? how can that person not be reprimanded for bringing upon us such calamity?? and who in the right mind thought colourful skinnies actually look "fashionable"?

sigh, what is the world turning into? i guess it looks fine. just, please.

DON'T.
WEAR.
THEM.
WITH.
FLIP.
FLOPS.

NEXT~!

2. Leggings as Pants

how many times do we need reminding? leggings does not equal pants. they just like safety shorts. you wear them UNDERNEATH your mini dress, mini skirts, oversize shirts etc. they are not for you to expose your 'V'-shape.

and when it's bad enough seeing skinny people do it,

fat people join in. and oh my god.. imagine stuffing tonnes of tofu into stockings. when it moves, let's just say everything else ripples along.

don't get the wrong idea. leggings help legs look more slim and toned, but not enough to hide the fats. and absolutely, never, EVER makes you look more sexy than this.

and i wonder who's the culprit behind this strange dressing style..

tell me who, won't you?

and whoever that said she can pull such stunts off, you're wrong. huge overstatement please. you think that looks sexy? think you might look sexy in that too? might as well strut around in your undies.

THAT WILL BE SEXY. err, i think.

ARE YOU PEOPLE READY?

HERE'S...

THE....

FINALE...

1. Crocs

after "educating" myself on the goodness of what these bring,

i still think they're ugly.

COLOURFUL AND BOLD

colourful? yes. bold? BIGGER yes. for accomplishing the nightmares of shoe designers all around the world.

and after the prototype, there's the more ladylike kind of crocs..

they're THE DARLINGS, aren't they?

i get the point people are more worried about their health, comfort and utility than appearance. i agree with that. but, at least look for something that looks less like Ronald McDonald's feet?

and just look at all these!

Brooke Shields

Aaron Eckheart

Morgan Freeman

Adam Sandler

Steven Tyler

BUSH!?!?!

what's up with these people!? and i really admire some of them too! like Adam Sandler, Steven Tyler and Morgan Freeman. (http://www.stylelist.com/celebrity-style/hottest-celebrities/celebrities-wearing-crocs)

one should never succumb to crocs unless they plan to remain single for the rest of their lives.

So.....

maybe next time you might want to consider getting hit by pigeon crap instead. (:

the beginning of queer

just today i've been inspired to start a fashion blog after reading some really really awesome FLOGGERS (fashion bloggers) from everywhere else but Singapore.

you know, it's really sad that our fashion critics from our local magazines are always saying the same stuff over and over again. and we've never really created our own set of trend before. and by trend, i don't mean t-shirt shorts flipflops.

though i've seen some really cool people out there in awesome outfits, there are those which i roll my eyes at and spit criticism after.

can't say i've never been arrested by the fashion police before. everyone goes through a phase right?

well honestly, blogshops by locals drive me insane. their style are horrible and unoriginal. "inspired" clothing are either made of flimsy material or poor imitations of the real ones.

YES, they are cheaper but nonetheless it's a devastating puncture to our minds of what fashion is on our sunny island.

don't get me wrong, i love Singapore. and i don't deny the existence of some really cool blogshops.

well, do look out for recommendations of blogshops, fashion critics, and maybe my daily outfit?

i'm not a pro, learning as i go. feel free to comment or share anything about fashion. anything about me? just shoot, anyway the comments will be moderated! offensive posts will be removed of course. *smiles innocently*

now about me..

i'm kinda boyish when it comes to style. but i can make myself look extra feminine if i want to.

really into the suspenders and military/biker jackets for the time being. boots~! i'll have thousands of them if i can afford to.

don't believe in branded clothing. loves hunting for bargains to fill up my wardrobe. and i don't believe in throwing away old clothes! because i'll always reuse them when i'm inspired to. (:

I LOVE MODERN ORIENTAL STYLE! really love my Asian-Chinese roots. and i think only Asians look good in cheongsam as they're specially made for our gentle and petite figures.

confusion phase of keeping long hair or just chopping the whole thing off.

maybe like this? i know i know, i'm lame. i had to take that off a magazine....

so! do look out for future updates. hope you're not already rotting your eyes off the page.
